What’s special about this watch?
The time is indicated by three separately rotating transparent sapphire discs. Each disc is painted with four hour indicators and are attached to a rotating center wheel. As the discs turn, the hour indicators rotate into view and pass over the minutes. The time is displayed where the visible disc points to the current minutes. One can admire the exquisitely finihed movement through the watch’s sapphire caseback. It is understood that it took over one and a half years for AP to develop this magnificent piece. The Star Wheel is a “grail watch” for the AP enthusiast!
